Our History
Trike of a Bike Gifts & Decor was founded in early 2024 by Jeff MacDougall. Originally from Halifax, Jeff moved away with his family at the age of 9 and only returned to Halifax in 2022, after 35 years away. A generalist manager by training and experience, Jeff has always dreamed of owning his own business since he was 12 years old.

We prioritize working safely, obeying the law, acting ethically, and ensuring that every customer has a one-of-a-kind experience.
What we Do
We took the old fashioned “ice cream man” tricycle, modernized its back end with 7 gears and e-assist. Then, we tore the front ice cream cooler down to the studs and built a mobile gift shop on there! Our trike will fit through a regular sized man-door so we can go just about anywhere!
The general theme of our mobile gift shop is “home”; a celebration of Halifax, Dartmouth, all of HRM, Nova Scotia, and the many wonderful landmarks and beauty of our province. Most of the products on our trike are handmade Halifax gifts and art from talented local artisans, showcasing the unique offerings of our region.
